2026-2027 competition dance auditions

AUDITION INFORMATION:
Mandatory Parent Meeting Tuesday, May 12, 2026

6:00 p.m. Information for dancers ages 4-10. Stars, Academy, Ensemble, and Company

7:00 p.m. Information for dancers ages 11-18. Academy, Ensemble, and Company

We are asking parents to attend the meeting in-person (Zoom links will be made available by request). Please email dance@UTartscollective to request a link.

Audition Process:

  1. Attend a Parent Meeting

  2. Complete the online audition application and pay audition fee $20-$35 per dancer – application link will be available after the Parent Meetings

  3. Review the audition schedule May 18-20, dancers need to attend ALL scheduled days. Audition schedule is designated by the dancers age as of January 1, 2027

What to expect for Academy, Ensemble, Company Auditions:

  • Ballet Technique Audition:
    Dancer should wear their UAC ballet class leotard, pink tights, ballet slippers, pointe shoes (if applicable), and hair pulled back into a neat ballet bun. If you are new to UAC please wear a black ballet leotard.

  • Jazz Technique Audition:
    Dancers must wear fitted dance attire (no baggy layers), bare feet or dance shoes, and hair must be pulled back off their neck.

  • Callbacks:
    The last day of auditions dancers should be prepared to show any material that was taught in the previous days. Dancers will receive a callback email with the time requested.

  • Results:
    Audition results will be emailed Wednesday, May 27th by 5:00 pm to the email listed on the dancers registration form. A master list will be posted on our website UTartscollective.com June 1st.
